Every child deserves to learn in a safe, welcoming, and well‑supported school. With decades of experience in law enforcement, risk management, occupational and environmental safety and health, and emergency management, I understand what it takes to protect students and staff. My priority is to strengthen safety practices, support educators, and ensure that every campus is a place where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. - Strong Partnerships with Families
Students succeed when families feel informed, respected, and included. As a former and retired Special Education teacher for Denton ISD and longtime community leader, I know how essential it is to build trust between schools and families. I hope to champion a holistic, family‑centered approach that supports families as partners, expands access to local resources, and assure every family has a voice in their child’s education. - Responsible Stewardship and Community‑Driven Decision‑Making
My service on the Denton City Council for nearly three terms, local nonprofit leadership for several years, and work on community boards and city commissions have taught me the importance of transparency, accountability, visions, goals and thoughtful planning. I will work to ensure that district resources are used wisely, that growth is managed responsibly, and that decisions reflect both the needs of families and the values of the community.
